FAQ
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
The cost of a translation is normally based on the number of words in the original document(s). My per-word rate varies depending on the nature of the text and the urgency. This ensures that you always get a tailored quote with the fairest and most competitive rate on each occasion.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Generally, I can translate 2,500–3,000 words per day, but this varies based on the content and complexity of the source text. When you get in touch for a quote, I will let you know my best turnaround time taking into account my current workload. If it's urgent, I can accommodate rush projects for an extra charge.
HOW CAN I PAY?
I accept payment via bank transfer and PayPal.

Payment is due upon delivery for new clients. For return customers, payment within 30 days of delivery is fine.

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS INVOLVE?
The translation process has more steps than you might think. Here's an example:

Reading through the source file and any reference materials (e.g. style guides, glossaries)
Carrying out preliminary research and clarifying any immediate queries around terminology, tone, etc.
Running the source file through translation software to convert it into a bilingual translation file
Applying translation memories and glossaries to maximise efficiency and ensure consistency
Translating the file, raising any queries that arise in the process
Converting the file back to its source format
Proofreading the file in its native format to ensure that both linguistic quality and layout are perfect
Delivering the finished product along with any translation notes to aid the client's understanding
Receiving client feedback and working together to implement any tweaks required
